Robin Musing

Robin Musing

Words like birds

fly from my pen

glide, dip, tumble and spin

then come home to nest again

Words like water

refresh and revive

some so gentle

like misting rain

others batter

like a hurricane

Words flow

like blood, like sweat, like tears

Words my weapon

my curse my prayer

Words like whiskey

inebriate, intoxicate

Words like a welcome mat

trod upon and soiled

Words like a rattlesnake

full of venom and coiled

Words like this writing

dividing uniting
