Notice the black arrowhead? Well, it’s so small it’s probably a bird point. I let out a yell the day I found this one! The white one? Also a good find. Yes, we like to hunt, but our season begins when deer season ends. I’ve been scouting and found some promising spots.
Weather permitting, early the morning after the “hunters” leave the woods for their city houses, my husband and I pack our lunch, our cooler and head out to hunt these pieces of history. They speak to me of my ancestors. The ancestors I never knew much about…my Native American ancestors. I’m preparing my research trail and love this story that wants to be told.
The writing in the picture is my statement. This photo will evolve into a collage. Soon.
